BIOGRAPHY

Enla Arboleda (Santiago Giraldo Arboleda)

Born of the mountains of Colombia, and shaped by journeys across distant lands, Enla Arboleda's music emerges as a contemplative dialogue between memory, nature, and the soul. A singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Enla has spent more than a decade weaving soundscapes that resonate with the essence of his surroundings and inner explorations.

The Journey Begins

From the young age of seven, Enla's path was set among the timeless rhythms of Colombian traditional music. His early days at the music conservatory were not merely an education, but an initiation into the textures of the earth, where guitar strings echoed the whispers of the Andean breeze and the ancient pulse of his homeland. His sound evolved like the landscapes around him—expansive, bold, and raw—as he ventured through the realms of rock, and indie, drawing upon a vast spectrum of genres.

As a young musician, he poured his soul into multiple projects, releasing four albums that traveled beyond borders, connecting with listeners in Colombia and Europe alike. His tenure with the iconic Colombian rock band Ekhymosis saw him grace the stages of Altavoz Internacional, Calido Rock, and Car Audio Fest—moments that marked his deep connection to the roots of his country’s music scene. Yet, his heart longed for new horizons, both musically and geographically.

A New Dawn

In 2021, Enla set sail for London, drawn by the city's magnetic pull and its tapestry of sounds. Amidst the urban sprawl, he discovered a new musical language, one sculpted from synthesizers and electronic textures—an expansion of his sonic identity, reflecting the complexity of his own journey. His music became a conversation between the natural and the artificial, the past and the future, the familiar and the unknown.

TRAYECTOS INVISIBLES

His first solo EP, “Trayectos Invisibles” (Invisible Trajectories), released in 2020, is a selection of stories etched in the humid air of the tropics. Each of its six songs unfolds like a path through the wilderness—full of contrast, colour, and introspection. These tracks are the sound of life in motion, poems of love, memory, and the search for self. Through music and visual art, each piece transports the listener into a world where time slows, and the soul reconnects with the rhythms of nature.

The Road Ahead: Other Ways to Find Yourself

Enla's forthcoming full-length album, and “Other Ways to Find Yourself” Enla’s forthcoming full-length album, and EP: Other Ways to Find Yourself, is a reflection of his journey as a migrant in the UK, a meditation on displacement, longing, and the delicate dance between heartache and hope. In this collection of 12 tracks, the listener will find a melancholic reverie intertwined with moments of quiet revelation, like footsteps through an unfamiliar forest, both cautious and curious.

The album, infused with the warmth of analog synths and the sharp edges of sound design, marks a new chapter in Enla's evolution. Eleven of the songs are written in English, bridging the gap between cultures, while still carrying the poetic weight of his Colombian roots. This body of work is more than music—it’s an offering, a chance to step into another’s shoes and walk through the mist of longing, love, and the mysteries that lie just beyond reach.

BY WHERE THE MUSIC MEETS

“The song’s jazz-inflected guitars are the heartbeat of the track, offering a gentle yet compelling rhythm that contrasts beautifully with the electronic undertones. Synthesizers and drum machines add a layer of depth, creating a soundscape that feels both modern and nostalgic. As the lyrics unfold, Enla’s voice carries a timbre that’s as inviting as it is reflective, making “When The Light Goes Out” a track that resonates long after it ends.”

By CANAL 1

“Santiago is a musician with a background in film and art, facts that have led him to explore his proposal as an author from the image-sound relationship. His first solo album, 'Trayectos Invisibles', links his two great passions, cinema and music; and is made up of seven videos that he has released through his digital channels since 2019.”

By Colectivo sonoro

“Enla Arboleda's songs refer to connections with elements of nature and that internal dialogue that occurs in the mind of an individual. In the case of Simultaneo, the protagonist goes on a retrospective journey triggered by the sounds of a record player.”

By ROCK ACHORAO

'Invisible Trajectories' is an experience that has a broad target audience focused mainly on the arts. Considers artists from all fields, musical, fine arts, photography, drawing, animation, poetry and literature. It is a commitment to transdisciplinarity, that is, how we nourish ourselves from the diversity of others.”

Enla Arboleda – Fin.
